Steve has been a registered plumber for over 30 years, with additional experience in installing septic tanks and effluent systems, solar water heating systems and heat pumps, free standing wood burners, sheetmetal fabrication and other maintenance services.
He has spent many years as a maintenance officer for the Met Service, maintaining their meterological stations on islands such as Raoul and Campbell islands. He revisits Campbell Island on tri-annual service trips for the Met Service since the base was closed from being permanently manned, with his work ensuring the buildings are maintained to a safe standard.
